Waitlist

Percy's is always adding families to our waitlist for Before & After School Care, Summer Camp, Spring Break, and Winter Break. Due to high demand, it is strongly encouraged that families reach out to Percy's 2 years before their child(ren) is of school age. However, this does not guarantee a spot for your school year. Any spaces available in the program are given to those highest on the waitlist.

One-to-one support

Does your child receive educational assistance at school? Would they benefit from one-on-one support within our programs?

To ensure your child has the best experience and receives the support they need, families are asked to inform Percy's of your child's support needs. Families are also encouraged to arrange additional support before participating in our programs.

Funding for children benefiting with one-to-one support is done through The Supported Child Development Program. This program is offered through Vancouver Island Health Authority, and works with eligible families to offer resources, support in organized childcare and recreation activities, observations, and training opportunities. It is strongly recommended that families contact the Developmental Program as early as possible, as demand is high.

QA Summer and Spring Inclusion Grant

In 2022 Island Health announced a new funding method for supported children. This new method would grant support funding to centers directly, instead of funding following children. Percy's application was accepted in May 2023 for a 3-year term. Percy's receives funding to hire Inclusion Workers to support  children throughout the Summer and Spring breaks.. Children do not need to be currently receiving funding via QA to be eligible for this funding. Please connect with Percy's to be on our waitlist and if you believe your child could benefit from direct support.
